Description

57blocks will deliver an x402 facilitator and a Stellar-native Bazaar discovery layer on testnet and pubnet, under a permissive license and packaged so anyone can fork, self-host, or self-facilitate.

Both build on AgentSmith, our existing agent infrastructure product. We reuse its agent-facing MCP interface and its retrieval and evaluation pipeline, and build the Stellar- and x402-specific payment, catalog, and protocol layers here.

Three choices shape the design. Verification and settlement compose @x402/stellar and @x402/core with no settlement contract of ours to deploy, so a production facilitator on both networks is an early milestone rather than a final one. Our upto scheme stays contract-free on SEP-41 allowances and Stellar's native authorization, avoiding a new Soroban contract and its audit dependency. Search quality is treated as a measured deliverable: hybrid retrieval scaled to catalog size, with recall and MRR run in CI against continuously resampled catalog data rather than a fixed query set.
