Description

Digibank is evolving from a successful custodial multi-chain wallet (10K MAU) into a fully non-custodial, user-owned payments app on Stellar. We will leverage Privy’s Stellar support for seamless embedded/self-custodial wallets, integrate fiat on-ramps (Mercuryo, or MoonPay) and off-ramps (MoneyGram cash-out + our existing MENA of 2000+ physical liquidity network), enable cross-chain deposits/withdrawals via Near Intents, and connect our active SDP instance for mass disbursements. This creates a complete on/off-ramp + cross-chain bridge for real-world payments in MENA and beyond, emphasizing low-cost, transparent, and compliant flows. Existing users will migrate smoothly to the new non-custodial app, preserving their activity while gaining true ownership. The project builds on our prior SCF-funded SDP integration (successful $7M pilot with GIZ Germany and UOSSM) to scale crypto-to-cash and NGO disbursements on Stellar.

Vision: Make Stellar the default rail for everyday payments in emerging markets by combining self-custody, fiat gateways, and seamless cross-chain access.
