Description

Onboard is a licensed cross-border payments platform, live for around three years with a consumer app and, more recently, a business app and API.

The consumer app (Android and iOS) offers virtual accounts to fund and withdraw in cash and stablecoins, cards, and on/off-ramp. The business product and API give businesses and fintechs multi-currency deposits, payouts, and stablecoin wallet infrastructure. We on-ramp in NGN, USD, EUR, GBP and stablecoins, and off-ramp in NGN, GHS, IDR and others. We settle primarily in USDC (mostly Base) and pay out local currency through partner banks and liquidity providers.

Objective: integrate Stellar to add USDC-on-Stellar settlement and open new off-ramp corridors, starting with LatAm. We'll add Stellar as a supported network in our wallet infra and integrate a LatAm off-ramp anchor, so USDC on Stellar can be paid out in local currencies, in our app and via our API. There's also no African off-ramp on Stellar's integration list today, and we already pay out USDC to NGN and GHS, so Onboard can be that African off-ramp too.
