Surge Pay is a blockchain-based payment platform built on the Stellar network, designed to foster financial inclusion across underserved markets. Our vision is to enable fast, secure, and cost-effective digital transactions for individuals and small businesses with limited access to traditional banking. Through Stellar��s near-instant settlement and low fees, Surge Pay aims to significantly reduce barriers to economic participation. Key objectives include: User-friendly onboarding with a simple, mobile-first design that supports multiple KYC tiers to accommodate varying levels of identification. Inclusive services such as P2P transfers, merchant payments, cross-border remittances, and micro-savings—all at minimal cost. Community education through in-app financial literacy resources to build user confidence in digital payments and personal finance management. Technical implementation leverages Stellar’s API for secure asset issuance, near-zero transaction fees, and robust liquidity. Our backend, built on Node.js and TypeScript, integrates seamlessly with Stellar for real-time ledger updates and user wallet management. The React Native front provides an intuitive interface for sending, receiving, and tracking payments. We also incorporate on-chain and off-chain security measures, including encryption and transaction PINs, to ensure user data and funds remain protected.
