Description

Peru processes millions in stablecoin volume annually, yet almost none flows through Stellar. No regulated gateway connects Stellar to the Peruvian banking system.

VERSO will change that.

VERSO is a regulated stablecoin exchange operating in Peru since September 2022, registered as a VASP with UIF-SBS. We facilitate conversions between PEN, USD, and USDC, and have been profitable and self-funded for over three years, processing $8.8M USD in 2025 alone.

Despite strong local demand, no compliant Stellar Anchor exists in Peru. VERSO will build the country’s first regulated Anchor, connecting the Stellar ecosystem with Peru’s banking infrastructure.

The grant funds the integration layer: deployment of the SDF Anchor Platform (SEP-1, 10, 24, 38), integration with our backend, secure wallet infrastructure, real-time transaction monitoring, and the transition toward automated fiat settlement.

This will enable a global, regulated PEN/USD ↔ USDC on/off-ramp and activate a new corridor on Stellar, onboarding users and unlocking real-world volume in LATAM.
