Description

VRF-Soroban is a Verifiable Random Function for the Stellar network, providing cryptographically provable randomness to Soroban smart contracts. Built upon the ECVRF, the project leverages Drand as a public entropy source to ensure high-quality, unbiasable seed generation.

The vision of VRF-Soroban is to establish the foundational trust layer for unpredictable applications on the Stellar network. Currently, the lack of a native, tamper-proof randomness source limits the potential for complex decentralized gaming, fair NFT mints, and verifiable DeFi mechanisms on Soroban. We envision a Stellar ecosystem where developers can build fair, transparent, and manipulation-proof applications.
