DeFarm is a production platform that creates traceability tokens, digital passports proving the identity and history of every farm asset.
Each token links verified events (vaccinations, inspections, certifications) to a transparent record anchored on Stellar.
This grant will:
Build an open CLI & SDK so existing agricultural systems (ERPs, certification tools, government registries) can anchor and verify data directly on Stellar.
Extend Soroban smart contracts to manage circuit governance and privacy-preserving disclosures.
Deploy a community framework and miniapp tools, allowing developers to build RWA, DeFi, insurance, and carbon applications on verified data.
Using Stellar as the distributed registry ensures low-cost, auditable, and programmable proofs of asset identity (the prerequisite for real-world financial products).

User Adoption & Traction: 20+ producers and 3 associations connected; 200 000 animals registered; 70% annual renewal rate.
Platform Functionality: verification within 48 h (60% faster than legacy methods); 95%+ environmental data accuracy; 100% tokens anchored on Stellar.
Financial Ecosystem: 3+ financial partners using data for credit or insurance; 10+ service requests facilitated; 30% reduction in due-diligence costs.
Stellar Ecosystem: new asset class for agricultural traceability; two reusable libraries (CLI/SDK modules); blueprint for tokenization of physical assets across sectors.
Existing contracts with producers provide a ready pipeline for on-chain onboarding.
Open CLI/SDK and miniapp framework invite ecosystem developers and financial partners to build on verified data.
Expansion from Brazil and Portugal’s beef sector to other proteins (eg: swine) and crops through current partners.
Initial integrations with 3 ERPs and 2 financial institutions planned post-grant to demonstrate real-world scalability.
100 000 head of cattle under contract, with events already being anchored on Stellar testnet:
Live backend + web platform handling item and event registration.
Two pilot integrations validated with external systems.
Awarded $15 000 SCF Kickstart.
Technical paper “The Circuit Model” published describing the verifiable data architecture (link)
Core CLI/SDK with authentication, workspace management, circuit operations, and item/event tracking.
Focus on fundamental data sovereignty and simple collaboration features.
How to Measure Completion
Authentication (login, logout, whoami, refresh)
Workspace management (init, status, reset, config)
Circuit operations (list, show, join, members)
Item operations (new, list, show, update)
Event operations (add, list, show, update)
CLI/SDK integrated with Core API
Package installable + documentation available
Two external farm-management systems integrated (whitelisted partners with proper privacy strategy)
Estimated Completion: Month 3
Budget: $24 000
Lead Developer (3 mo): $14 000
Backend Developer (2 mo): $8 000
Testing & Docs: $2 000
Note: legacy-system integration requires specialists due to poor documentation.
Impact: foundation for all future integrations and financial applications.

Impact: makes DeFarm fully operational on Stellar mainnet and opens a community framework for building RWA and DeFi products on verified agricultural data.
DeFarm is led by a multidisciplinary team with expertise in blockchain, agribusiness, and regulatory frameworks:
Gabriel R - Blockchain Expert & System Architect - ZKP researcher, recently started zkVox (zkvox.gabrielrondon.com) and actively discussing ZKP applications with Noir team. (zkp.gabrielrondon.com)(github.com/gabrielrondon)(https://www.linkedin.com/in/gabrielrondon/)
Robson Campos - Environmental Engineer with a Master’s degree in Environmental Technologies and a specialization in Geoprocessing, with over five years of experience as Intelligence Advisor in animal and plant health defense in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. I lead the agency’s Control and Operations Center, focusing on data analysis and strategic monitoring. I contributed to the project that achieved the status of “foot-and-mouth disease free without vaccination,” recognized by the WOAH. My expertise integrates intelligence and technology, including blockchain, to advance cattle traceability and strengthen sanitary security.
