Stellar's DeFi primitives are live: DeFindex for automated yield, Soroswap for routing, CCTP and Near Intents for cross-chain assets.
What's missing is a consumer-facing layer that makes these primitives work together: move capital across chains, trade it on Stellar, put it to work, and track what it earned.
Today, these experiences are fragmented across separate applications.
Multi-chain users have no simple gateway into Stellar. They must navigate bridging, Stellar account creation, funding, trustlines, and trading separately.
Stellar users have no unified DeFi experience. Trading and yield require leaving the wallet and using separate applications, causing capital to become fragmented or idle.
The protocols are not the bottleneck. Stellar already has the infrastructure for trading, liquidity, yield, and cross-chain assets.
The missing layer is the user experience that connects them.
SwiftEx is an existing non-custodial multi-chain wallet and trading platform, live on iOS, Android, and web. It already supports Stellar SDEX trading, Aquarius swaps, bridging across 8 chains, trustline management, and FIFO P&L tracking.
This grant adds four integrations:
A. Native USDC Onboarding — CCTP
Bring native USDC from supported chains directly into Stellar, with Stellar account creation and USDC trustline setup integrated into the onboarding flow.
Stellar: USDC mints natively on Stellar; account creation and trustline setup happen in the same transaction flow, so first-time users need no prior XLM.
Impact: Creates a simple path for multi-chain capital to enter Stellar and become immediately usable for trading and DeFi.
B. Best-Execution Routing — Soroswap
Route swaps across SDEX order books, Aquarius pools, and Soroswap liquidity.
Stellar: Routing spans Stellar's order books and AMM pools, settling on Stellar under an on-chain slippage bound.
Impact: Gives users one swap experience while accessing the broader Stellar liquidity ecosystem.
C. Earn — DeFindex
Enable users to deploy idle USDC and EURC into curated DeFindex strategies directly from SwiftEx.
Stellar: Soroban vault contracts allocating into curated DeFindex strategies; users hold vault shares on Stellar.
Impact: Turns idle trading capital into productive capital without requiring users to leave their portfolio.
SwiftEx's existing FIFO P&L engine will be extended to supported DeFi activity, bringing trades, vault positions and resulting asset movements into one portfolio view.
The existing Stellar portfolio and P&L engine is already live:
https://app.swiftexchange.io/stellar/portfolio
Users can therefore see not just what their assets are worth, but what their positions actually earned or cost.
The result: multi-chain capital can enter Stellar, trade on Stellar, earn on Stellar and remain visible in one wallet.

Deliverable 1 — Native USDC Onboarding (CCTP)
Users bring native Circle USDC onto Stellar via Circle's burn-and-mint protocol, so what arrives is the same asset Stellar's DeFi protocols accept rather than a wrapped substitute. Account creation and the USDC trustline happen within the same flow, so no prior XLM is required at any point.
How to measure completion
Reviewer completes a testnet transfer; burn and mint hashes published
Where the destination Stellar account does not exist, it is created with a USDC trustline in the same flow, verifiable in a single transaction hash
Amount received reconciles with the quote shown before the transfer
Installable by reviewers via public TestFlight and Google Play Internal Testing, with a web preview at a public URL / a recorded video demonstrating the flow end to end
Budget: $6000
In-app swaps routed for best price across SDEX order books, Aquarius pools, Phoenix pools, and Soroswap pools.
How to measure completion
Reviewer executes routed swaps on testnet; the displayed route and executed price match the on-chain result
Slippage tolerance is user-configurable and enforced on execution
Direct Aquarius swap remains available as fallback, verified with routing disabled
Installable by reviewers via public TestFlight and Google Play Internal Testing, with a web preview at a public URL / a recorded video demonstrating the flow end to end
Budget: $4955
SwiftEx-managed USDC and EURC vaults deployed via the DeFindex factory, allocating into a curated DeFindex strategy. Earn tab with deposit, withdraw, balance, and current APY.
Strategy choice: Each vault is deployed with a fixed, predefined strategy allocation. SwiftEx does not route users across strategies, and cannot reallocate dynamically. Users are therefore not relying on SwiftEx to optimise anything, since exposure is fixed and visible.
We publish the vault contract, the strategy contract, the underlying it deploys into, and the criteria used to approve that underlying: APY, liquidity, loss protection, oracle configuration, collateral quality, governance and admin configuration, and relevant security history.
Administrative authority: SwiftEx holds four DeFindex roles on each vault, being Vault Manager, Rebalance Manager, Emergency Manager, and Fee Receiver, and discloses each with its Stellar address and the authority it carries. The Vault Manager key is held on a multisig, and vaults are deployed with upgrades disabled so the contract cannot be changed after deployment.
SwiftEx cannot send vault funds to any address outside the vault's configured strategy, and no role SwiftEx holds can prevent a user withdrawing.
How to measure completion
Both vault addresses published, with roles and strategy allocation readable on-chain
Reviewer completes deposit → accrue → partial withdraw → full withdraw on testnet; every leg has a hash on Stellar Expert
APY shown in-app matches the vault's on-chain rate within ±0.1%
Installable by reviewers via public TestFlight and Google Play Internal Testing, with a web preview at a public URL, plus a recorded video demonstrating the flow end to end
Budget: $6,600
- the following Figma prototype demonstrates the proposed SwiftEx integration flows and other Stellar ecosystem features: https://www.figma.com/design/xJauGOLzntKIuE0rNKRRi8/SwiftEx001?node-id=0-1&t=iAyBFp5eb9Hg6OW3-1
SwiftEx already runs a FIFO cost-basis engine across SDEX trades and AMM swaps, tracking what each lot actually cost at 15-30 minute price granularity. This extends it to cover vault positions. Depositing into a vault buys shares at that day's price; withdrawing sells them, so yield lands as a real gain measured against what it actually cost.
How to measure completion
Reviewer's vault activity appears with cost basis, unrealised gain while held, and realised gain after withdrawal, reconciling against on-chain deposit hashes and share prices
FIFO order verified across deposits followed by a partial withdrawal
Vault positions gains appear in the spreadsheet export; export for an account holding trades and vault positions generates in under 3 seconds
Budget: $5,400
Test coverage across every integration path, running on every merge request to the main branch, with failure scenarios as explicit test cases.
Coverage spans the CCTP onboarding flow including account activation, the routing and swap path, vault deposit and withdrawal and the FIFO cost-basis engine across trades and vault positions.
How to measure completion
50+ test scenarios green in CI
Every failure scenario present as a named test, individually runnable
Reviewer can open any recent main branch history and see the CI run and its results
Budget: $4,355
Every integration live on mainnet across iOS, Android, and web, including mainnet vault deployment and seeding, and verification of the mainnet pool against the published selection criteria.
How to measure completion
Public App Store and Play Store URLs resolve to builds containing all four integrations; web live at app.swiftexchange.io
Reviewer completes a real mainnet round trip on a real device: USDC in via CCTP → routed swap → vault deposit → withdraw. All hashes on Stellar Expert
Mainnet vault addresses published, with roles and allocation readable on-chain
Budget: $10,990
Operational infrastructure for running user funds on mainnet: ops wallet balance alerting, RPC redundancy and failover, structured logging across the integration paths, and published incident runbooks.
How to measure completion
Read-only monitoring dashboard URL shared, Admin Stats, with at least 7 days of metrics
Ops wallet low-balance alert demonstrated firing in staging
Incident runbooks published covering at least 5 scenarios, including ops wallet depletion and RPC outage
RCA published on the SwiftEx website for any production incident occurring during the tranche window
Budget: $3,800
SwiftEx's FIFO cost-basis engine opened as a public read-only API, so any Stellar wallet, portfolio tracker, or tax tool can get real P&L for an address without building the accounting layer themselves. Free, no signup, no keys, rate limited to one request per second per caller.
For any Stellar address it returns cost basis per asset, realised and unrealised P&L, win rate, and the underlying position history. Coverage spans SDEX trades, AMM swaps through Aquarius and Soroswap and DeFindex vault positions.
Published alongside documentation for each integration delivered under this award, the onboarding flow, and how the cost-basis calculation works.
How to measure completion
API live at a public endpoint; a developer can query an address and get a result without signing up for anything
Reviewer queries any Stellar address and the returned cost basis and P&L match the in-app portfolio for the same address (upto the sync delay: 15-30 mins)
Rate limit of one request per second enforced and documented
Documentation site live, covering each integration, the onboarding flow, and the cost-basis method, published on the public repo
Web preview at a public URL, plus a recorded video demonstrating the functionality
Budget: $6,900
