The Strategists delivers open, composable DeFi strategy smart contracts on Soroban, designed to be reused by wallets, yield aggregators, DeFi hubs, and protocols across the Stellar ecosystem, as well as directly through The Strategists dApp.
Key features:
**Strategy Smart Contracts (Soroban):
Each strategy is deployed as an independentSoroban smart contractwith standardized interfaces, enablingcomposabilityandpermissionless integration** across the Stellar ecosystem.
**Protocol-Native Integrations:
Strategies interact directly with Stellar DeFi protocols such asBlend**(lending & flash loans),Aquarius(DEX) and**Soroswap** (DEX & routing)
**Oracle-Aware Risk Management:
Selected strategies integrateprice oraclesto providetrustless state verification**,risk checks, and**permissionless execution conditions**.
Oracles are used to expose safe execution boundaries (e.g. health factors, price thresholds), allowing any external actor to rebalance or adjust positions when conditions are met. Oracles do not imply automated execution, but enable decentralized, trustless participation.
**Flexible Governance Models:
Strategies can be deployed as fullypermissionless**,self-governed, or ascurated strategiesthat require an**active curator** to manage parameters, rebalance positions, or respond to market conditions — depending on the strategy’s complexity and risk profile.
**Ecosystem Impact:
Expands yield opportunities, reduces integration complexity, and enables more advancedcrypto-native and composable DeFi use cases** on Stellar.

Yield-Sharing Strategy for Yield-Bearing Assets
Design and implement a strategy that accepts yield-bearing assets (such as tokenized stable bonds from Etherfuse, Ondo Finance, or Centrifuge) and programmatically enables the splitting of the generated yield between the end user and partner applications integrating the strategy. Thanks to composability, this would also enable the creation of baskets of diversified yield-bearing assets.
Research and Design ($4,000)
Identify compatible yield-bearing assets (e.g., tokenized stable bonds or similar instruments).
Analyze how yield accrues in these assets and determine mechanisms to reliably measure accrued profit.
Design a smart-contract architecture capable of attributing yield to individual deposits and distributing a configurable revenue share between participants (user, partner application, infrastructure provider).
Threat Modeling and Risk Analysis ($12,000)
Develop a threat model identifying potential vulnerabilities in the strategy design.
Analyze risks including:
oracle manipulation or inaccurate pricing feeds
accounting inconsistencies in yield attribution
timing attacks around deposits and withdrawals
Define mitigation strategies and security assumptions for each identified risk.
Strategy Implementation ($20,500)
Implement the strategy smart contracts on Soroban.
Implement logic to:
track deposit principal and accrued yield
calculate realized profit
distribute configurable revenue shares in the underlying yield-bearing asset.
Ensure compatibility with partner integrations (financial apps, wallets, or platforms).
Testing and Deployment ($8,500)
Deploy the strategy to Testnet.
Execute test scenarios demonstrating:
deposits of yield-bearing assets
yield accrual over time
correct profit attribution and revenue sharing between participants.
How to measure completion

Demonstration of deposits and automated yield distribution between participants.

XLM and Stablecoin Liquidity Provision Strategy using Aquarius
Design and implement a strategy that enables XLM and stablecoin holders to earn yield through automated liquidity provisioning on Aquarius pools and programmatically allows fee-based yield distribution to depositors. The yield originates from trading fees generated within Aquarius liquidity pools, enabling a Sharia-compliant revenue model where returns derive from liquidity services rather than interest-bearing lending mechanisms.
Research and Design ($9,500)
Analyze how yield accrues from liquidity provision in Aquarius pools (trading fees, liquidity incentives, and reward emissions).
Conduct an economic analysis of the strategy, including expected returns, impermanent loss exposure, swap costs from single-sided entry, and withdrawal dynamics.
Evaluate and prioritize eligible pools, focusing on stablecoin pools and XLM-paired pools such as XLM / yXLM.
Design a smart-contract architecture that:
accepts deposits in XLM or supported stablecoins
performs automated swaps to enable single-sided liquidity provisioning
tracks user principal and accrued yield
supports configurable pool selection and safety parameters
Prepare documentation and collect community feedback regarding pool selection, liquidity incentives, and acceptable risk thresholds.
Threat Modeling and Risk Analysis ($18,000)
Develop a threat model identifying potential vulnerabilities in automated liquidity provisioning and Aquarius integration.
Analyze risks including:
Inaccurate pricing feeds affecting swap execution
impermanent loss in volatile XLM-paired pools
liquidity depletion or insufficient depth in selected pools
timing attacks around deposits, swaps, and withdrawals
accounting inconsistencies in LP share and yield attribution
Define mitigation strategies and security assumptions for each identified risk, including price deviation checks, slippage limits, and cooldown periods before withdrawals.
Strategy Implementation ($22,000)
Implement the strategy smart contracts on Soroban.
Implement logic to:
deposit assets into DeFindex vaults
execute swaps to achieve balanced liquidity ratios for pool entry
provide liquidity to selected Aquarius pools
track user principal, LP positions, and accrued trading fees
enforce a cooldown period before withdrawals to prevent users from immediately realizing swap and provisioning costs
distribute fee-based yield to users in the underlying asset
Testing and Deployment ($8,500)
Deploy the strategy to Testnet.
Execute test scenarios demonstrating:
deposits into the liquidity strategy using XLM and stablecoins
automated swaps and liquidity provisioning into Aquarius pools
yield accrual through trading fees and correct profit attribution
enforcement of cooldown periods and correct withdrawal behavior
resilience of the strategy under varying liquidity and price conditions
Liquidity Provision for Bridges
Design and implement a strategy that provides liquidity to cross-chain pools through Allbridge and programmatically allows the split of the generated yield between the end user and partner applications integrating the strategy. The yield originates from liquidity provision fees generated within Allbridge pools, enabling a Sharia-compliant revenue model where returns derive from fee-based liquidity services rather than interest-bearing lending mechanisms.
Research and Design ($7,500)
Analyze how yield accrues from liquidity provision (trading fees, incentives, or rewards).
Conduct an economic analysis of the strategy, including potential returns, liquidity risks, and withdrawal dynamics.
Analyze risks including:
oracle manipulation or inaccurate pricing feeds
liquidity imbalance or pool depletion
bridge-related risks and external protocol dependencies
timing attacks around deposits and withdrawals
accounting inconsistencies in yield attribution
Define mitigation strategies and security assumptions for each identified risk.
Strategy Implementation ($19,000)
Implement the strategy smart contracts on Soroban.
Implement logic to:
deposit assets into Allbridge liquidity pools
track user principal and accrued yield from liquidity provision
calculate realized profits
distribute configurable revenue shares between participants in the underlying asset.
