Trustless Work provides non-custodial, role-based escrow infrastructure built on Stellar, enabling platforms and enterprises to safely coordinate conditional payments using stablecoins. The protocol is implemented using Soroban smart contracts, ensuring deterministic execution, transparency, and low-cost settlement on Stellar.
This submission focuses on improving and hardening the following product components:
Escrow Smart Contracts (v2)
Trustless Work’s core escrow logic lives fully on-chain on Stellar. Through this grant, we will evolve the contracts to introduce explicit new roles (such as read-only observers), configurable quorum-based approvals per escrow, and batch operations for milestones, approvals, and fund releases. These improvements strengthen security guarantees, reduce operational overhead, and enable enterprise- and DAO-grade payment coordination directly on Stellar.
API & SDK for Developers
To enable fast integration, Trustless Work exposes an API and SDK that abstract Soroban transaction construction and signing. As part of this work, we will harden and refactor the backend and API layer to strictly mirror on-chain escrow invariants, reducing integration risk for third-party platforms and ensuring that off-chain orchestration always reflects Stellar contract state.
Escrow Blocks (UI Integration Components)
Trustless Work provides reusable UI blocks (“Escrow Blocks”) that allow developers to embed escrow flows into their applications. These components interact directly with Stellar-based escrows and will be updated to support the new role and quorum semantics introduced in escrow v2, enabling faster and safer front-end integration.
Supporting Developer & Operator Tools
The project also includes supporting tools such as:
A Back Office dApp for managing and monitoring escrows
A Demo Lab for testing escrow flows on testnet
An Escrow Viewer for transparency on Escrow configuration and present state.
As part of this submission, these tools will be aligned with escrow v2 semantics and backed by a new open-source escrow indexer, enabling reliable querying of escrow lifecycle events and roles directly derived from Stellar on-chain data.
Together, these improvements transform Trustless Work from an audited escrow primitive into production-grade escrow infrastructure on Stellar, suitable for platforms, enterprises, and ecosystem builders.

$80.0K
Trustless Work has demonstrated sustained traction across developer adoption, ecosystem engagement, and real-world pilots.
The project previously received $70,000 from the Stellar Community Fund, which supported the initial development, audit, and deployment of Trustless Work’s escrow infrastructure on Stellar. Since that award, the protocol has progressed from early experimentation to active usage by developers, platforms, and enterprise pilots.
Developer Adoption & Usage
Over 15,000+ GitHub repository unique clonesacross Trustless Work’s open-source repositories, indicating strong and sustained developer interest.
A public analytics dashboard (analytics.trustlesswork.com) shows:
88 API keys issued on testnet
21 API keys issued for Mainnet usage since Mainnet softlaunch (November 2025)
Active developer experimentation using Trustless Work’s API, SDK, and escrow tooling to prototype marketplace, payment, and coordination flows on Stellar.
Ecosystem & Builder Programs
Trustless Work was part of Draper University’s Founder Residence and EMBARK programs (2024), supporting early product validation and ecosystem alignment.
The team is currently leading the Impacta Bootcamp with the Blockchain Acceleration Foundation (BAF), onboarding and mentoring 260+ builders across Latin America, many of whom are actively experimenting with Stellar-based products. https://www.techrebel.world/builders
Trustless Work has mentored builders and supported hackathons and ecosystem programs including Meridian, Casa Builder, and multiple LATAM-focused developer initiatives.
Products leveraging Trustless Work have also received SCF Build awards and are soon to launch Mainnet: GrantFox, KindFi, Boundless. Learn more: https://www.trustlesswork.com/ecosystem
Enterprise & Platform Pilots
Enterprise pilots have been executed or are in progress across multiple verticals, including:
Real estate transaction coordination (Abu Dhabi) MiraiX-3 LEarn more: https://thedefiant.io/news/press-releases/assets-advisors-capital-unveils-mirai-x-a-decentralized-escrow-platform-for-tokenized-landmark-assets
Private credit and structured financing flows (Bolivia) (NDA bound)
Marketplaces, currently being piloted with AirTM (OfferHub), as we have 3 clients that require a fully abstracted marketplace.
Community Growth & Visibility
Consistent growth in Trustless Work’s developer and founder audience across Stellar and LATAM communities.
Ongoing inbound interest from platforms seeking escrow primitives for stablecoin-based payment coordination.
Together, this traction demonstrates that Trustless Work is no longer an experimental concept, but an actively used infrastructure layer on Stellar, with real users, real pilots, and clear signals guiding the proposed escrow v2 evolution.
